us vs. the world?

Serve them. Love them. And remember that the mission is always right in front of you.

The following video was actually on CNN this week. The man doing the yelling is the priest of the church that sits in the background. I think he forgot the point. Prepare yourself. It’s offensive.

i wonder what would have happened if he had engaged them kindly. we don't know what happened before this. i don't believe it excuses the priest's behaviour.

i pray that i would not find myself condemning this man. i just pray that he will really find a heart for service. i also pray that these young guys would find Jesus in spite of the actions of a Christian who has lost the secret to sharing Christ.

thanks for this reminder of how we need to engage the rest of the world.

That guy needs a sabbatical! Oh, and a new assignment out in the country somewhere where all he meets are little old ladies that make casseroles and tea. I listen to the frustrated priest who has just lost it and think, "What has he accomplished but pushing people away from the cross because of his own brokeness and bitterness." OUCH. I didn't enjoy watching that video.

Did I just judge him? Well, I suppose I judged his behavior and went from there. His behavior is indicative of someone who has been overloaded in ministry.
